Imap van gmail werkt perfect voor mij, op mijn macbook en iphone, alleen kan je ook instellen dan hij op de webserver van gmail alles bewaart, dus als je iets wist in je inbox het wel op gmail blijft staan?

Select 'Sent Mailbox' > 'On the Server' > '[Gmail] Sent Mail'. Return to the 'Advanced' view.

If you prefer your deleted email client messages to archive in Gmail rather than go to the trash (which seems like a more Gmail-like solution), there's one change.
Rather than mapping your Trash folder to Gmail's Trash, you'll want to select the "All Mail" mailbox—effectively removing the email from your inbox but not deleting it from your Gmail account altogether.

Also, in order to apply multiple labels to a message from your email client, you'll need to copy the message to every folder corresponding to the Gmail label you want.

Inmiddels werkt ook hier Gmail met IMAP uitstekend. Ik moest er nog even op wachten, want ik gebruik Google apps for domains.

bij Mail heb ik Anders gekozen (VOOR IMAP) daar heb ik mijn gmail gegevens ingevuld, maar dan wordt er gevraagd naar inkomende mail server en uitgaande mailserver (SMTP) .. weet iemand wat ik daar moet invullen of waar ik dat kan vinden?

gmail (imap) werkt nu bij mij (inkomend, prullenmand, alle berichten, concepten, met ster, prullenbak, spam en verzonden berichten.

maar [Gmail] werkt niet, als ik op dit klik krijg ik de volgende melding:

[Gmail] kan niet worden geopend.

mail kan deze postbus op de server 'imap.gmail.com' niet openen.

Deze serverfout heeft zich voorgedaan: Unknown Mailbox: [Gmail] (Failure)

Kan iemand mij hiermee helpen?

Ik heb het net ook ingesteld: Maar ik krijg inderdaad dezelfde melding als hierboven (post #6), maar dan in het Engels.

Ik heb alle instellingen juist gedaan volgens post #5.

Wie weet wat ik moet doen?

Ik probeer deze topic weer in leven te brengen. Ik krijg nog steeds hetzelfde melding, weet iemand wat er aan de hand is of wat ik verkeerd doet?

Tja... je weet zeker dat de instellingen kloppen? Dus ook de serverpoorten (onderaan deze pagina)...
