Restore jailbreak

Hoi,
Ik heb een vraag moet je met jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 op iPhone 3GS net als in de clipjes op YouTube zonder restore ipsw file ofzo doen of moet je die ook gebruiken
Want ik zie allenmar dat ze gwn gelijk beginnen met jailbreaken met redsnow??
