3rd Come to a screen where, through a DOS-style window, the program will close all processes related to iTunes. This is a very important step that will determine the success or failure of the procedure. We suggest, therefore, to open the Task Manager (CTRL + ALT + DEL), go to "Processes" and watching the program that actually do its job properly.

4th Press, then "ENTER" and the program we suggest turning off the iPhone / iPod and put it into DFU mode. To do this you must:
- Connect the device to your computer and shut it down.
- Press the Home button ignition + 10 seconds then release the correct key Ignition continuing to press only Home.
If by chance, after the entry into DFU, you open iTunes, you return to the Task Manager, manually quit the two processes "iTunes.exe" and "iTunesHelper.exe", riapritelo close iREB and duplicating the procedure up to this point. Attention to remove the iPhone from DFU mode (Home + Power for 7 / 8 seconds).

5th Once everything is completed, press again "ENTER" and expect to finish the program to work. Notifies us, then, that the iPhone will have a white screen and we will call to restore (with the firmware previously downloaded) via iTunes.

6. Then open iTunes, expect that the program detects the iPhone or iPod in recovery mode, press "
SHIFT + Restore" by selecting the custom firmware you downloaded previously. We await the end of the process and let's enjoy our firmware 3.1 beta 3 with Cydia installed!
NOTE:
ALL owners of iPhone 3G foreigner must NOT perform this procedure. Restoration of the software to the new firmware version includes the update of Baseband and hence the impossibility of using ultrasn0w probably forever.
ALL HOLDERS OF IPHONE EDGE: All those who own an iPhone 2G you will find the telephone blocked at the end of the procedure. This is normal because during the restoration does not run the program release. To remedy the problem, follow these simple steps:
- Open Cydia;
- Change to the tab "Changes" and run all the updates;
- Reboot and reopen Cydia;
- Change to the tab "Search" and type "BootNeuter"
- Download and run the program;
- Select all the entries in the screenshot below and click "Flash". Wait and do nothing and as soon as the procedure is finished, enjoy your EDGE iPhone unlocked and jailbroken with firmware 3.1 beta 3.

The procedure was tested on my iPhone 3G successfully. I thank the developer of iH8sn0w that these days he has worked hard to complete the project. Good release!
