Beperkingen wachtwoord kwijt
 

Ik heb ooit beperkingen op mn iPad aangezet en dus destijds een wachtwoord verzonnen maar wil nu die beperking eraf (want ik wil een in-app purchase doen).
Ik heb nu al 9x een 4-cijferig wachtwoord ingevoerd waarvan ik denk dat dat het correcte wachtwoord kan zijn, geen van allen klopt waardoor ik nu al 60 minuten moet wachten voor een volgende poging.

Dus ik denk, ik ga alle instellingen herstellen en dus terug naar fabrieksinstelling maarrrr wat is de verrassing, ook daarvoor heb je dat wachtwoord nodig.

Dus nu weet ik even niet meer hoe ik daar vanaf kom. Iemand een idee?

Is het een iPad 1?
Zo ja, probeer of je hem met behulp van een jailbreak eraf kan gooien, en de iPad daarna op nieuw te herstellen, omdat jij waarschijnlijk niet met een gejailbreakte iPad rond wilt gaan lopen. Ik denk dat bij je settings / instellingen een bestand moet staan met het wachtwoord. Probeer het op te zoeken.

Is het een iPad 2?
Dan zul je moeten herstellen en je instellingen niet terug moeten zetten, maar je bent alles kwijt dan.

Stel ik ga mn ipad 1 via itunes restoren naar factory settings, ik heb vanmorgen nog een backup gemaakt van mn ipad, kan ik dan na die restore mn backup weer terug zetten zodat ik de situatie als voor de restore heb met dat verschil dat het password er dan vanaf is?

Dat is wel wat je op het internet tegenkomt; tja - wat heb je te verliezen uh?
(laat het ook even weten of het lukt)

Mijn vriendin heeft haar eigen iPad en die iPad heeft mijn apple account, hetzelfde account als wat ik voor mn eigen iPad gebruik. Haar iPad heeft geen beperkingen ingesteld en nu blijkt dat ik met haar iPad (na het invoeren van mijn wachtwoord wat bij mijn account hoort) wel een in-app purchase kan doen.
Dat is mooi, want dan kan ik dus met mijn account wat ik op beide iPads heb draaien de in-app purchase doen.
Alleen nu is de vraag, hoe krijg ik die in-app purchase op mijn iPad?
Beide iPads zijn qua apps en background en zelfs ios (ze gebruikt nog 4.1) niet hetzelfde. Een simpele sync gaat dus niet werken.
Iemand een idee?

Volgens mij is dat dus wel een beperking op de iPad ; in-app purchases horen bij iPad..., niet bij een account.
Dus, de manier die jij beschrijft gaat (jammer genoeg) niet werken.

Volgens mij moet dit wel werken (geen ervaring), maar wat heb je te verliezen. Als je een in-app purchase doet op de iPad van je vriendin (maar met jouw iTunes account) en vervolgens haar iPad synct met iTunes, dan wordt er volgens mij in iTunes geregistreerd dat er op die Appe een purchase is gedaan.

Dan je eigen iPad syncen. Ben benieuwd of dit werkt.

Nou ik heb nooit een beperkingencode opgegeven voor zover ik weet. Gebruik alleen mijn simpincode. Dus wat is dan eventueel de 4 cijferige (standaard) beperkingcode?

Er is geen standaard beperkingscode, aangezien beperkingen standaard uit staan. Als je hem aangezet hebt ooit kun je wat code's proberen en anders bij instellingen stel opnieuw in en dan wis alle inhoud en instellingen. Herstellen met back up kun je testen, benieuwd of dat werkt. Anders zul je als nieuwe iPad moeten opbouwen.

Ook ik was deze kwijt, en dit was voor mij DE oplossing na uren en uren zoeken.
Unfortunately I saw this topic a couple months after you had the question but this might help other people in the future. Also since you ended up restoring from the original backup I'm guessing you still don't have the Parental Controls pin code after all. Here is how you can get it back:

1. Download iPhone Backup Extractor iPhone / iPod Touch Backup Extractor (This is for OSX, if you are using Windows there are other Backup Extractor programs although my iPhone syncs with a Mac so you will have to tweak these directions to work with the Windows program, here is one of the Windows programs I found: iPhone Backup Extractor for Windows and Mac)
2. Extract the Zip file you downloaded, move the App to your Applications folder, then run the App
3. Click on Read Backups, in the window that pops up click on the backup file of the device you need the lost pin for, then click Choose
4. You will have a list of all the Apps on the phone. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click on iOS Files, then click on Extract. Choose a folder where you want the files to be extracted to.
5. After it finishes extracting go to the folder where you extracted the files and follow this directory path: iOS Files --> Library --> Preferences
6. In that folder find the file "com.apple.springboard.plist" and open it. (Read note below if on Windows)
7. In Property List Editor look for the key titled "SBParentalControlsPin"
8. Look to the right of that entry and you will see the 4 digit PIN. You can now remove/modify parental controls

(NOTE: If you are on Windows and do not have a program that will read PLIST files then open the file with Notepad instead. It will mostly look like garbled junk and words running together but towards the end of the file look for 4 successive digits, if there is more than one place with 4 successive digits then try them all, one of them will be your pin).

-Start --> Run & Paste: %APPDATA%\Apple Computer\MobileSync

***For Mac, go to: USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Mobilesync/Backup/

-In this Backup folder you will find folders related to different iphones or ipads connected.

-Use the folder with the latest date (assuming the locked device file is backed up recently)

-In the folder, locate the file by the name: 662bc19b13aecef58a7e855d0316e4cf61e2642b ***it should be there on all backups

-Open the file in Word, Wordpad or Notepad. ***I used TextEdit on Mac

-With the junk characters look for four digit numbers, there might be 3-4 such instances, trial & error, one of them is your password."

Op mij n computer file opgezocht en geopend met teksteditor levert:
Mijn code is 0304 en staat vrijwel aan het eind.

Is het gelukt ?
Ben wel nieuwsgierig.

Ik heb het ook geprobeerd, maar kennelijk werkt het niet met IOS 5? :mad:

Ik kan geen code vinden in de back-up file of in de file op mijn iPhone.

Ja hoor, het werkt ook met iO5.
Maar je moet welk kijken in de file die begint met 662 en dat is een heel eind naar beneden van MobileSync/Backup/....

Ik heb nog een keer gezocht, tevens op een andere pc(notepad) een back up gemaakt en de file geopend, maar ik kan hem niet vinden...

Is er een specifieke text editor waarbij het goed werkt?

Heb je de file die begint met 662 gevonden ?
Zo ja, ga er met de muis opstaan, rechter muisknop "open met", en dan Notepad kiezen, als je met Windows werkt. Als je met een Mac werkt dan kies je voor Teksteditor.

Ja ik heb de file gevonden. Er staat alleen niet de code in.

Staat in het begin van je file, en is de enige combinatie met 4 cijfers.
