Wi-Fi verbindings probleem met bepaalde toestellen.
Ik heb sinds vorige maand een nieuwe router: Asus RT-N65U. Werkte zonder problemen tot deze week.
Opeens konden mijn iphone (ios 8) en mijn ipod touch (ios 4) niet meer met de Wi-Fi verbinden. Ik heb de router gereboot en toen ging alles weer prima tot gisteren. Opeens viel het internet op de Windows laptop weg en de iphone kon ook niet meer verbinden. Mijn macbook bleef echter wel werken. Weer de router gereboot en toen ging het weer voor 10 min en lag het weer uit. Uiteindelijk heb ik de router terug naar fabrieksinstellingen gezet en werkte alles weer naar behoren. Tot deze morgen toen zag ik dat de Wi-Fi op mijn iphone weer weg was. het verbinden duurt zo'n 5 min eer ik dat Wi-Fi symbool krijg en dan werkt het voor een paar minuten en valt de verbinding weer weg of gaat opeens suuuuuper traag (het symbool blijft wel nog steeds staan). Ondertussen heeft de macbook nergens last van en blijft die wel gewoon zonder probleem werken dus ik heb totaal geen idee waar het probleem opeens vandaan komt? |

Ik heb nu al gezien dat de Macbook blijft werken omdat die op het 5Ghz internet zit. Alle andere apparaten werken via 2.4Ghz en dat verbindt dus niet. Mijn iphone en ipod krijgen een ip adres toegewezen dat begint met 169

169.254.x.x zijn link-local IP-adressen. Die iPhone en iPod krijgen dus geen LAN IP-adres van de DHCP-server in de router. Waarom dat zo is zal je moeten nakijken in de instellingen en logs van de router.

Dit zijn de logs maar daar begrijp ik niet veel van. ik zie alleen vaak 'failed' 'stopped' en 'good-bye' staan, wat met niet positief lijkt.

Dan zal daar het probleem zitten. Ik ben een tijdje geleden ook een keer geswitched naar 5 Ghz en kreeg vrij snel van de vrouw (met haar 4s) klachten dat het internet het niet meer deed. Toen maar snel weer terug naar 2,4 Ghz gegaan

Had klachten ingediend bij Film1 en HBO-GO omdat die apps bij mij niet werkten op de nieuwste iDevices. Na langdurig gedoe bleek dat het ook het 5 GHz ac-protocol was dat die apps niet lustten. Die ervaringen worden in de volgende updates verwerkt.

OK, maar feit blijft dat die apps niet werken op 5 GHz-ac! Waar ligt dat dan wel aan?
(Ik had in de A-Extreme het 5 GHz netwerk apart benoemd, dat werkte niet voor die apps; dat later uitgezet en nu werkt het wel). |

Goh ik heb dat nooit veranderd naar 5Ghz.
Tenzij gisteren ja .. toen heb ik denk ik alles veranderd Ondertussen heb ik gewoon de 'fabrieksinstellingen' van de router teruggezet en staat die automatisch weer op 2.4Ghz. Het werkt beter nu maar nog altijd niet perfect. als de iphone uit standby komt krijgt die regelmatig een 169 Ip adres of duurt het dik 3 minuten eer die een juist ip adres ontvangt. Maar er zijn ook momenten dat het zonder probleem werkt dus ik weet niet goed waar het aan ligt. Het lijkt eerder erop dat die router een eigen wil heeft |

Ik heb het ding pas een maand en heb eerder dan deze week geen problemen gehad. Wel met mijn vorige Linksys router die had ook altijd problemen als mijn toestellen uit standby of slaapstand kwamen. Dan moest ik ook heel vaak de router herstarten dus ik begin te twijfelen of het wel aan mijn routers ligt elke keer en niet aan mijn telenet modem?
Ik zal die Logs van hierboven straks eens updaten want ik weet niet of deze zo relevant zijn aangezien ik toen 1034242 instellingen heb gewijzigd op dat moment |

Is die modem van Telenet echt een modem, een modulator-demodulator dus? Of is het een modem + router in één behuizing? In dat geval heb je twee routers achter mekaar en dat kan ook problemen veroorzaken als de routers niet juist ingesteld zijn.
